Adam Shulberg, RHAD FSHAA, Managing Director
Adam studied at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Gray’s Inn Road and in 1980, qualified as the youngest hearing aid audiologist in the UK.
By 1984 he was actively involved in the running of a hearing aid audiology clinic in Madrid with 'satellites' in Northern and Southern Spain, whilst also establishing himself in the UK practice.
Adam became Managing Director of Cubex in 1995 when the London based operation moved to its new high-tech premises in New Cavendish Street and where he still offers independent consultancy, advice and assistance to a high profile International clientele.
"This is such an exciting profession to be in. We are so proud of our achievements and believe that we now have one of the most modern, progressive and innovative centres in the world…here in the UK."
He is also currently involved in a project in Western Nepal, founded in 2001, where he has set up a hearing aid distribution programme and is responsible for facilitating, training and supervision of 7 Community Ear workers and over 700 volunteers.
Adam is a member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, American Academy of Audiology and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and is also a member of the Ida Institute, a charity whose role is to provide a more holistic understanding of the complex journey of hearing loss.
Lorna Frost, RHAD FSHAA, Hearing Aid Audiologist
Having worked in a wide range of dispensing environments, Lorna brings to Cubex extensive and broad experience in delivering the highest possible level of customer care. She is a dedicated hearing aid audiologist and has helped thousands of people achieve better hearing, improving their quality of life.
Lorna is also, the first UK LACE coordinator, enabling our clients to enhance their communication skills while building confidence and performance in difficult listening situations.
“The most satisfying element of what I do is to help people rediscover their hearing and more importantly, to assist them in becoming better listeners. With all the services we are able to offer at Cubex, especially the interactive auditory retraining program (LACE), my role is all the more rewarding".
Nicolas Auffret, RHAD FSHAA, Hearing Aid Audiologist
After practicing in Brighton and Bath, Nicolas moved to London to join Cubex: “Working at Cubex and using the very latest technology is a fantastic opportunity and I am thrilled to be able to deliver the high standards of care and service that Cubex has become well established in providing.”
Fascinated by technology and always open to innovative solutions, Nicolas enjoys researching, developing and implementing new systems and helping hearing impaired people improve their abilities to communicate and enjoy all environments.
Though he qualified in France as an Optician in 2002, Nicolas decided to study Audiology after he realized that whilst poor sight reduces people’s abilities to see, impaired hearing can be far more socially isolating. He became a hearing aid audiologist with the strong belief that he could make that difference to enrich the life of those with hearing impairment.
Maureen Hole, Book Keeper
Maureen has been with Cubex for 22 years. Although her main role is "keeping the books" she is very involved in all aspects of customer care and provides cover in all areas of administration.
With Maureen’s considerable experience she is always available to offer advice and support.
Maureen enjoys spending most of her time with grand-children, family and friends.
Linda Genovese, Receptionist
Born in Islington, Linda spent many years working as a secretary in Devon before she joined Cubex as Receptionist. Linda has been part of the team for 12 years and she is very happy to have witnessed the transformation of people’s lives through their improved hearing.
